I’m an adopted child. I never quite fit in to any one circle or environment. I found my own way, my calling. It took time and I had to overcome many obstacles. I had to work hard but I lived life. I’ve had a blast! There was always laughter in my life. Even when there wasn’t I turned it into laughter. Life is only as serious as you make it. I like laughter. I love music.
When I got kicked off the Chabad Telethon it changed the trajectory of my life. I’ve always been a rebel of sorts and when I’ve been wronged sometimes the greatest “revenge” is use it to your advantage. This blog pays homage to that experience. You can’t keep a brother down!
I have toured the world and have performed for audiences all over as The Jewish Rapper, a name given to me by Howard Stern. I’ve met people from all walks of life and have loved every minute of it. People have often said that my unique outlook and thoughts about so many issues have inspired, motivated, pissed off, cracked up or was just interesting to hear for them.
It is with that in mind I take the liberty of bringing those musings right to you in the form of a blog. I still need an outlet to get my rocks off. Making music is great but I need more!
Most things in my life tie into my love of music, RUSH, Howard Stern and South Park, as well as Jewish identity. Music in particular has always been a huge part of my life and I have great respect for it. Being Jewish is always a source of pride yet Ive never fit into the stereotype of what an observant Jew should be. I’ve never been fond of the “follower” mentality.
Anyway, stick around. It’ll be fun. I won’t inundate you with banter. Think of this as a doorway into my head. It is a very unique place to be.
